What Does “Waitlist” Mean?

Sometimes, we have just enough players registered for a team but not quite enough to form an additional team. When that happens, we waitlist players in that age division until we know if we can build another team.

In mid-March, we’ll review our registration numbers and decide whether a second team can be formed.

If your child is interested in playing, please make sure to join the waitlist - it really helps us plan and make sure every player has the best chance to get on the floor!

Waitlisted players pay a non-refundable insurance fee of $75, which allows them to practice with the team while we sort out final rosters. If they’re placed on a team later, the remaining registration balance will be due.

If we don’t have enough players to form another team, team managers will connect with parents to talk through available options.

Payment Information

Our preferred payment method is eTransfer, since it keeps fees low for the club.

When registering, select “Pay Offline” to use eTransfer. Payments must be received within 30 days of registration.

Credit card payments are also available - please note that transaction fees will automatically be added to your total.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at vmlaregistrar@vancouverlacrosse.com - we’re happy to help!

Financial Support

We’re proud to partner with community organizations that help make sports accessible for all families:

Team Fees

Like other sports, Lacrosse has two main sets of fees:

Registration related fees - They include the actual registration fees which include insurance fees payable to BCLA and CLA. You may also pay an additional fee if you do not or choose not to volunteer.

Team Fees - Team fees are discussed with parents, coaches and managers at the beginning of the season and include things like tournament related fees (if you team is going to one or more tournaments), coach gifts, and sometimes a team windup BBQ and player gifts. These fees are IN ADDITION to registration fees and are collected by your team manager in the first month of your season (usually April). As a guideline, these fees can range from $125 for U7 for a tournament and some player trophies, all the way up to $600+ for a U17 team doing multiple tournaments as well as provincials.

Please note that no player will be excluded from team activities for cost reasons. If registration or team fees are a barrier, reach out to your team manager OR vmlaregistrar@vancouverlacrosse.com in confidence at any time during the season to discuss payment options or to access bursaries.

If you have any questions about fees, please reach out to vmlaregistrar@vancouverlacrosse.com
