Choosing the Right Stick
The correct stick length is key for ball control, passing, and shooting.
How to measure your child’s stick:
- Place your child’s elbow at the butt end of the stick.
- Grab the stick – the hand should hold it about halfway between the butt and the bottom of the head.
Recommended Stick Lengths:
| Age Group |
Stick Length |
| U13 & below |
34" – 40" |
| U15 & above |
40" – 46" |
Adjusting the Stick:
- Measure from the top of the head to the butt end.
- Remove the rubber butt-end cover before cutting.
- Measure twice, cut once (a hacksaw works well).
- Sand or file rough edges.
- Replace the butt-end cover and wrap with athletic tape for safety.
Pro Tip: The right stick helps your child learn faster, play better, and enjoy the game more!
